About the Farmland Information Center

The Farmland Information Center (FIC) is the leading source of resources and information about farmland protection and stewardship. The collections include fact sheets, articles and reports; federal, state and local laws; sample documents, like model easements; and webinars and presentations. Authorized by the federal Farmland Protection Policy Act (FPPA), the FIC is a core program of American Farmland Trust (AFT) maintained in partnership with USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
