Abstract:
Georgia House Bill 842 pre-empts local laws restricting residential and
urban private property owners from raising chickens, rabbits, goats or food
crops. The protection extends to animals raised or crops grown for private
consumption of growers or property occupants. It does not extend to
commercial sales of agricultural products.
